Zach and I were laying in
bed the other night, and I was telling him how when i was
younger (9-12) that I would lie in my parents bed with my
dad every night and he would read the readers digest to me. I kinda laugh about it now, but back then I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I came up with the idea for something fun for the two of us to do at home
(besides movies)....We should read a book together, we would alternate chapters. Zach knew just the one, he said it was his favorite childhood novel and has read it a few times, so we went to Barnes and Noble and he picked this
good read. We started reading it the other night. We get all snuggled in, he says "are you ready?" he waits for the OK and he said, "you have to pay attention because I'm NOT gonna recap anything!" So I listen intently, when the chapter is over I say OK my turn, and Zach says no, his explanation is that I can't read as well as he can. "How do you know you have never heard me!" So he says fine....We are on the forth chapter and I have read one. what does that tell you? Looks like I'm going to be revisiting my childhood of being read to every night... It may sound dumb and cheesy for us to be reading a book together, but so far we're really enjoying it...did i mention the book is good too? :)
